Austin Art Glass offers one hour private lessons on the fundamentals of glass blowing with renowned glass craftsman, Aaron Gross. No previous experience is necessary, although Aaron is willing to take on advanced students that have previously worked in soft glass and are wanting to expand their knowledge.
Students are provided with all of the tools, materials, and knowledge that they will need to create blown glass vessels and solid glass sculpture while learning the process of traditional off-hand glass blowing.
This is a hands on course, and students are required to wear closed-toe shoes, cotton clothing, be at least 15 years old, and be prepared for a hot working environment. The students thus far, have been averaging 2 to 4 pieces of completed work to take home with them from each hour lesson. Yes, you get to keep anything that you make to show your friends and family!
